All students born on or after January 1, 1997 and entering Grade Six are required to meet the new immunization regulations set by the State of New Jersey, in addition to a recent physical examination. The two required immunizations are Diphtheria, Tetanus and Pertussis Vaccine and the Meningitis Vaccine. Forms will be sent home in April, however, they are always available in the Nurse's office. Please make necessary appointments now with your child's pediatrician in order to meet these regulations for September, 2009. Thank you. If you have any questions, please contact the School Nurse at 201-441-4837.

Hygiene
| |
| |
Children should have tissues available if necessary. The used tissues should be discarded immediately after use, and your child should was his/her hand with SOAP and water. When a child coughs or sneezes, instruct them to do so into their elbow to reduce the chance of spreading their illness. Remember, hand washing is the first and easiest defense against germs.

Personal Hygiene
| |
| |
Parents, please review personal hygiene habits with your child. It has come to our attention that children in the lower grades are having difficulty with bathroom hygiene. Please teach your children how to properly care for themselves. All students and staff must was their hands after they use the bathroom. Enforce this rule at home with your child as well.
