LILLIAN M. STEEN SCHOOL

LILLIAN M. STEEN SCHOOL provides a comprehensive grades K-6 educational program for the students of the community of Bogota. Our community is rich with diversity. We have a wide range of family backgrounds, which differ in culture, tradition, occupational level and wealth. Similarly wide is our students’ range of interests, achievements and aspirations. The faculty works towards helping students achieve success to become contributing citizens of our society.

LILLIAN M. STEEN SCHOOL faculty maintains and encourages students to be pro-active learners. They have also played a major role in promoting a successful integration of diversity at the school. Significant emphasis is being placed on the preparation of our students for success on the State Mandated proficiency assessments.

Because we believe the home, school, and community must share responsibility and work together for the education of our students, it is our mission to work as active partners with parents and concerned residents to ensure educational excellence. LILLIAN M. STEEN SCHOOL has a very active Parent Teachers Organization (PTO), in addition the Bogota Recreation Department works very closely in providing athletic programs.
