History of the School: The second Bogota school, located at the corner of Main Street and River Road was opened in September 1910 with an enrollment of 280 pupils. Mr. William Janes was the first principal. Later this school was officially named the LILLIAN M. STEEN SCHOOL in honor of Miss Steen who served as principal from 1932 until her retirement.

Congratulations to the following winners of the "American Heroes" Coloring Contest:
Mark C, 4th Grade - Third Place
Gabrielle E, 5th Grade - Second Place
Kelly C, 5th Grade - First Place
The students were honored this past Thursday by Post Commander Peter McElroy of Bogota's VFW. Each student also received a monetary prize.

Congratulations to the four students invited to a "Tea Party" in the 2nd Grade. Deborah S, Lauren P, Natalie H and Jaylyn D were all treated to a fancy tea party - complete with china, tea, sandwiches (tea party style - no crust) - hosted by Ms. Giacomarra and Mrs. Geraghty. The students amassed rewards for their performance in class. |
