An introduction to career exploration and post-secondary opportunities. In this course, students will learn about various career fields and the requirements of entry into those career fields. They will also learn about colleges and the levels of post-secondary education.

ACCOUNTING I
Accounting I is a course for students who show an interest in the business field. Instruction will focus on debit and credit rules, interpretation of accounting records and financial reports, banking, and the preparation of special journals and worksheets.

COOPERATIVE EDUCATION
The purpose of Cooperative Education is to prepare students for useful employment and provide them with a school-to-career experience. Students attend school through 5th period and then leave school to work at an approved worksite in a career area of their choice. This course allows both college bound and non-college bound students to explore careers and gain on the job experience.  Students attend in-class support sessions where they learn job foundation skills and hear presentations on different careers from local post-secondary schools offering scholarship opportunities. Students are guided through a process of career exploration and self-assessment to better guide them in their career selection.
