Sample Activities:

 

·       A school wide unity day to celebrate diversity is being planned by the school. As part of the celebration, a mini-Olympics will be held. A plan needs to be developed and implemented to include opening exercises, main events, and closing ceremonies. A small budget has been allocated but will need to be supplemented.

·       Around holiday time, there are many catalogues, newspaper ads, etc. for toys, books, clothing, etc.  Divide students into groups.  Each group selects an item to compare the prices for purchases.  Compare at least three places.  How is the price similar or different?  Why are there differences in prices?  Which place would the group decide to purchase the item and why?
