·       Read books such as Why Money was Invented, Follow an Ice Cream Cone Around the World, or A Money Adventure by  Neale S. Godfrey.  Discuss the main concepts in the books.

 

·       Read the book, The Story of Money by Betsy Maestro.  Explore how mediums of exchange were developed; how money came about; how money is different in other countries of the world; how money is printed; and how other forms of money are used to purchase goods and services.

 

·       Students, through math concepts, learn to identify various coins, their value, and be able to make change.
