Sample Activities:

 

·       An individual wants to select a career pathway….in an area of interest for future employment and postsecondary and lifelong learning.

 

·       Have students role play scenarios to demonstrate that communication is more than just what they say. Examples might include:
·       Student comes into class frowning and drops book bag on the floor with a loud thud.
·       Student comes to class with a limp one day.

 

·       Have students create a classroom “newspaper/newsletter” reporting positive classroom activities.

 

·       Have students role play and model good manners. Recognize and praise children you notice using these good manners.

 

·       Have students write simple “Thank You” notes to fellow students, teachers, or family members.

 

·       Have students list character traits necessary to make and keep friends at school or in the neighborhood.
