·       Although New Jersey is well known as the Garden State, it certainly could be recognized as the Invention State. We now live in an increasing complex "global society" with demands for increased invention, design, and manufacturing to make people's lives and work more productive while meeting personal and family needs.

·       Students need to pass a health and safety test before using equipment in the classroom or at the worksite.  Worksites needs to be evaluated for health and safety aproblems before students are placed at worksites according to Child Labor Laws.

·       Students participate in cooperative education work placements in businesses.  Work assignments are approved by a cooperative education coordinator using Child Labor Laws, New Jersey Department of Labor and Education regulations and code as well as worksite approvals.   Worksite approvals for safety and health compliance need to be conducted.

·       Students and teachers analyze work and determine relationships of work tasks to meeting Core Curriculum Content Standards in multiple content areas.
